If I lived in colonial America in the 1700's I would not want to live on the coast of South Carolina. Although it was largely populated with the Jewish religion, I would not want to live in a swampy coast that was not habitable for humans. The swampy coast caused many diseases and infections like chronic malaria, yellow fever, and smallpox. I would not want to live in a place where the chance of disease was so high and colonists were dying in large numbers. If I was living there I would be expected to take care of the household, and when I was married I would take care of my husband and children. As a man I would be in charge of the household and had to support my family. I would fall into the middle class and would be a carpenter. I would eat lots of fish and interact with all men as we were all required to hunt and fish. But with the constant threat of death and infection looming over me, I could not live there.
On this Blog you will be able to see the work that I've done in my Humanities class and the process I've gone through in my various projects.

Blog #32
If i lived in the late 1700's in colonial America I would like to live in Boston, Massachusetts because of the fast paced lifestyle and drama. It would be fun and interesting to be in a time when history was made, like the Boston Massacre. I need a place where I could be occupied and interested. As a woman I would be married by my 20's and starting a family. I love my family and would gladly take care of my household and children. My husband would be out fishing and farming in order to provide for us. Along with that I would learn how to cook and make my own soaps, my family is crafty so I would excel in that area. I would be at home with my children who would eventually help with daily chores and gardening vegetables and fruits that we would then use when cooking.
