A great forum post allows for a discussion to take place between many people where different ideas can be thrown out about a question. A forum post that asks a question is great when the question is actually meaningful and can lead to a discussion that causes deep thinking. A forum that also brings up a view or opinion on a character or a specific part of the story is also a great post when there is supporting evidence and details for people to post their own opinions on.
A great conversation happens when people can openly talk to one another about a topic and can also reply to someone in order to better understand what they are saying or try to argue for a different opinion.
I have contributed to the forums positively by specifically responding to one of my classmates by quoting their own response and building off of that. I think that is a great way to acknowledge what someone else is saying and use their response to build my own and relate to someone without repeating what everyone else is saying. I also think I write out my ideas clearly for people to understand and be able to respond to.
As I continue to post I could improve my forum responses by including quotes from the book as direct evidence. This could also be helpful because people would be able to see where I am coming up with my thoughts.
