Blog #1

Part 1:
Being as it is Junior year, there are many things that I am looking forward too, but one that stands out most is Internships. I really enjoyed visiting my fellow advisees' Internships last year because I was able to understand what was required of them in a general sense and what their actual internship required of them. It was interesting to see how different every persons' Internship was and the reasoning behind choosing it. I think the three weeks will be a great opportunity for me to pursue something that interests me and see if it is something I would like to continue on with when I'm older and make a possible career of. But I also think it will be a time to really have fun with something and learn what it's like to actually be out there in the real world and not having people to fall back on. You're on your own in a sense and I think it's going to be challenging and exciting at the same time.

In Humanities I'm really looking forward to learning about the history of both the U.S. and the world. I honestly don't know much history because I really have never taken a class that teaches me about our countries past or even the world's. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that but it's the truth. I really want to be more educated about how our country started, the struggles it went through, and how it came to be what it is today. I also am hoping we are able to do the Mock Trials because law is an area I'm intrigued by and would love to be able to do a project that involves law as well as learn and dissect the issues that are going on today.
